Agor y ffynhonnau melus

Agor y ffynhonnau melus
  'N tarddu i maes o'r Graig y sydd;
Colofn dân rho'r nos i'm harwain,
  A rho golofn niwl y dydd;
    Rho i mi fanna,
  Fel na bwyf yn llwfwrhau.

Pan yn troedio glan Iorddonen,
  Par i'm hofnau suddo i gyd;
Dwg fi drwy y tonnau geirwon
  Draw i Ganaan - gartref clyd:
    Mawl diderfyn.
  Fydd i'th enw byth am hyn.

Ymddiriedaf yn dy allu,
  Mawr yw'r gwaith a wne'st erioed:
Ti ge'st angeu, ti ge'st uffern,
  Ti ge'st Satan dan dy droed;
    Pen Calfaria,
  Nac aed hwnw byth o'm côf.

[Mesur: 878747]

gwelir:
  Arglwydd arwain trwy'r anialwch
  Pan fwy'n myned drwy Iorddonen
  Ymddiriedaf ynot Iesu

Open the sweet fountains
  Which are flowing out of the Rock;
A column of fire give by night to lead me,
  And give a column of fog by day.
    Give me manna
  Thus shall I not faint.

When I walk the bank of Jordan,
  Cause all my fears to sink;
Take me through the rocky waves
  Over to Canaan - a cosy home:
    Unending praise.
  Will be to your name for this.

I trust in thy power,
  Great is the work thou didst always do:
Thou didst get death, thou didst get hell,
  Thou didst get Satan under thy feet;
    The summit of Calvary,
  This shall never go from my memory.
tr. 2019 Richard B Gillion
